About Lilyfingers

A small studio,
built around
the long ritual.

Lilyfingers is a one-chair studio in Stafford, Virginia. Quiet, intentional, and built around the long ritual of braiding.

How we work

01

Time, taken on purpose

A good braid is slow work. We don’t double-book. There’s no rushing the parts, no skipping the steps. You sit in one chair, with one stylist, for as long as the style needs.

02

Tension is a conversation

Your scalp is yours. Tightness should never be the price of looking good. Speak up at any point and the grip changes — no ego, no guilt.

03

Your hair under the style

Protective styles only protect when they’re installed well. We work clean, oil-free, and on prepared hair, so what’s underneath comes out healthier than it went in.

04

Bring yourself

Come in your sweats. Bring your snacks. Watch your show. We’ll talk if you want to talk and we won’t if you don’t. The chair is yours for the afternoon.

“Your scalp is yours.
Tightness should never be the price of looking good.”

Words from the chair

What clients say.

I have a tender scalp and have given up on braids twice before. Lily checked in with me through the whole session and the braids didn’t hurt at all. Eight weeks in they still look brand new.

Drove an hour past three other braiders to come here. The detail on the Fulani parts was unreal. People at work asked me where I got them done every single day.

I brought my 9-year-old in for her first real style and Lily was so patient and warm with her. She felt like a queen. We’re both booking back-to-back next time.

The studio is clean, the music is good, and the work is meticulous. I went in tense from a long week and walked out feeling looked-after, not just done.
