With proper care, most protective styles look great for 6 to 8 weeks. Longer than that and edges and roots start to feel rough, plus your natural hair needs to breathe. I do not recommend keeping any style longer than 8 weeks.

For most styles — yes, basic braiding hair is included. For specialty hair (curly human hair, specific premium brands, unique colors), you’re welcome to bring your own. Cornrows and men’s styles do not require added hair.

Come with hair that’s freshly washed, deep-conditioned, fully detangled, and blow-dried straight. No products, oils, or heavy creams. Clean hair grips better and lasts longer. See the care guide for the full pre-appointment checklist.

Please reach out at least 24 hours before your appointment. Same-day cancellations forfeit the deposit. Life happens, just text me as early as you can and we’ll work something out.

I work strictly by appointment. Braiding takes focus and time — booking ahead makes sure I can give every client the full attention they deserve.

Yes. I love working with kids and teens. For younger children, I recommend sticking to styles under 2 hours — simple cornrows, twists, or small box braids. We can plan something gentle for their first time.

Card, cash, Venmo, and CashApp. A small deposit secures your appointment when you book online; the balance is due at the end of the session.

Absolutely — in fact please do. I’ll let you know what’s realistic for your hair length and texture and adapt the design so it actually suits you.

I don’t color natural hair on-site, but I work with pre-dyed braiding hair in many shades. Choose the color in the booking add-ons, or ping me and I’ll order it in.

Just tell me. Tension is a conversation, not a sacrifice. I adjust grip and parting based on your comfort. Knotless and bohemian styles are especially gentle if you’re tender.
